Treatment Focus and Process Step 1 - Telephone Contact
Upon receiving your request for service, Dr. Yeung will approach you by phone to understand the problem. Dr. Yeung will then perform an initial intake lasting two hours.
Treatment Focus and Process Step 2 - Initial Interview
When necessary, interviews of the client and their significant others will be conducted to collect collateral information for psychological diagnostics.
Treatment Focus and Process Step 3 - Generate treatment goals and plan
The case formulation could be from multiple perspectives like family influence, neuropsychology, individual psychology (including personality, self-perception, interests, and self-efficacy), and social (the learning experience) and developmental factors (progress of cognition, social skills, language, etc.).
The treatment goal(s) and plan will be determined and an evidence-based therapeutic approach, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and nature-based therapy, will be adopted corresponding to the manifesting problem. Ongoing evaluation of therapeutic progress will be performed with the client.
